Written by Frost Mortgage
Frost Mortgage proudly supports the people who make our country and our communities great–especially those who selflessly protect us.
On Tuesday, July 13, from 1 to 3 p.m., at 2051 Wyoming Blvd. NE in Albuquerque (map), we will be grilling free Nathan’s Hot Dogs for members of the Albuquerque Police Department.
These men and women are heroes–they work daily to make our communities safe and they aren’t thanked enough. Please help us spread the word to these public servants–lunch is on us!
The aroma of grilled hot dogs and fresh donuts will be in the air in our neighborhood that week, as Albuquerque’s second Krispy Kreme donut shop opens the same day at 5:30 a.m. across the street from the Frost Mortgage national headquarters across from the Wyoming Mall. The Krispy Kreme team will be joining us in honoring the Albuquerque Police Department. Beginning at 1 p.m. and continuing through 3 p.m., officers can stop by the Wyoming Frost Mortgage office, located directly across from the new Krispy Kreme location for free donuts.

Frost Mortgage HQ--we'll be BBQ'ing for APD.Krispy Kreme is opening its second location in Albuquerque across from Frost Mortgage.

Frost Mortgage Banking Group (Frost) is excited to kick-off a great summer by participating in the 3rd Annual Grillin N Chillin in New Mexico BBQ & Chili Cook-Off State Championship this weekend. Proceeds from the event will go towards feeding the homeless and providing outreach ministries to those in need.

“At Frost Mortgage, we believe there are a few fundamental things that bring true joy to life, such as our homes and food,” said Greg Frost, President of Frost Mortgage Banking Group. “We’re excited to once again bring out the slow cooker, provide people with great food and support the people in our community who need it most.”
This event allows Frost to share both its passion for delivering quality expertise and mortgage lending services and its passion for food and community service with people in New Mexico.
The event takes place on Friday, June 25, from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., and Saturday, June 26, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Isleta Lakes and Recreation Area. Admission is $4 per person, while children 12 and under are free.

Frost Mortgage partners with Hispano Chamber on literacy outreach (with photos)

- The invitation to the chamber’s Open Book Day.
- Frost Mortgage sponsored the Hispano Chamber of Commerce Open Book Day.
- Open Book Day helps children.
- Frost Mortgage supports literacy efforts in the community.
Frost Mortgage Banking Group, in an effort led by Greg Frost Jr., collected 300 books for Open Book Day on June 4 to help children in local schools get a jump start on summer reading. Frost is committed to promoting literacy and supporting the local community, and is proud to have been a sponsor of the Albuquerque Hispano Chamber of Commerce’s event.
Statistics show that children who have not developed literacy skills by the time they begin school are 3-4 times more likely to drop out of school later. Over 1 million children drop out of school each year, costing the nation $240 billion in lost earnings, forgone tax revenues and expenditures for social services (statistics from www.readfaster.com). Frost is dedicated to providing local children with learning opportunities so they can beat these odds, regardless of situation.
“This is an incredible way to open doors for our community,” Frost Jr. said. “We’re proud to be able to give back.”
Open Book Day took place June 4 in the Lockheed Martin Board Room at the Hispano Chamber, 1309 4th Street SW, and included storytellers, snacks, giveaways, summer reading information, and of course, books!
